After School Kindergarten Class (Dinosaur Class)

Our newest class has been established for children who are attending the full-day kindergarten program in the Mechanicsburg Area School District (MASD). For the current school year, the bus schedule is such that we expect most of these students will catch the bus at home in the mornings, and they will come to the Early Childhood Center after school.

There are a many days during this school year that the ECC is open, but the Mechanicsburg Area School District’s kindergarten classes are not in session. A printable list of these dates is here. If your child attends the ECC on these days, please be sure to include the required additional payment ($17/day) with your weekly tuition, as stated in your parent agreement. Additional payment is also expected on days the public school is closed due to weather-related (or other) emergencies and your child is in our care during regular public kindergarten hours. The additional tuition expense is used to pay for the additional staff hours required to provide this care.

We ask that you notify the ECC office in writing, at least three days in advance, to let us know if your child will be here for these full days, so that the appropriate number of staff members are in place during those hours. Forms are provided on the hall resource desk to use for that purpose.
