Daily Program

The ECC is open year-round, and offers a daily preschool with the option of extended care. Preschool hours in each class are from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. or from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (through the lunch hour), one to five days per week. The ECC is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for those who desire the full day option. Separate classes for children ages three through kindergarten are offered. After school care is available for kindergarten children who attend the full day kindergarten program in the Mechanicsburg Area School District.  Transportation is provided by the district for children who live in areas served by three of the elementary schools (Shepherdstown, Northside, or Elmwood Elementary).  Read more...

Mother's Day Out

The Mother's Day Out program meets from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays. There are two classes for each session: one for infants through three years, and an older class for three to five year olds. This program is designed to give mothers some free time while children interact with their own age group. Children are registered for enrollment on a regular basis for Wednesday or Thursday, or placed on a waiting/call list. Click here for more information.
